  1. your pictures are amazing. I actually saw your inquiry at http://www.mysecondmillion.com. I’m a WordPress web designer. Weaver Pro is one to the frameworks I use and know well. It really is amazing. So again, stunning pictures. Here are some suggestions for you. 1. Please optimize your photos for the web. Any software such as photoshop can do that. Just use the save for web feature, a really great free(they do take donations) is Irfanview just do a web search for it. It really is incredible fast and amazingly good for freeware. They are have save for the web. Go into edit. Resize your picture for something like 1200×900 px. and save 72 px of web. Then go into save for web on edit menu and save for web around 50-70 percent. this will also be hepful so noone steels your beatiful images. They won’t download in the full px that you have done them it.

Ok so your images take up too much room and this makes your photos difficult to see. Why don’t you make a page and place an image gallery, then you could display your best stuff as a slider. another thing. looks like your website is about 1160 px wide. This can’t be viewed very comfortable on most monitors. Yes I do have some big monitors, but I also view images on my iPad, my laptop and chromebook. I suggest to resize to about 1050 px. This would allow your images to be seen easily and really showcase your amazing images.

Another Thing, your header is way to big. It’s best to just make your header about 150-225 px in height. You can use an image just crop it or you can just make your header small and just put your contact details. Then your site visitors will be able to see your images in your content area. headers are really more for information.

Besides that I like your choice of just using black and white. This allows your images to take center stage. there are some other design stuff you can do but those are the most glaring. If you have any questions let me know.

    • Many thanks for writing your observation. I appreciate. I would like to discuss more.

      1. All photos are already optimised. I use Photoshop to “save for Web”. 60-70% at 72 dpi. 1200×800 px.
      2. My site is 1200 wide. the reason is, corporates in India use desktop computers mostly. It was a conscious decision. However, I am going to make my other website (www.soumennath.com) at 1050px as suggested by you. Its already there, but needs to be redone.

      3. Header : Well the intent was to make the blogs look different from the main website pages.Still not sure what type of looks will be suitable. your advise well taken. Let me give this thought.

      4. I liked your website. Specially the logo in the Title line. I can make it in header.php. but it erases every time there is a theme update. The solution is to make a child theme. But I am no software guy. I am a photographer. dont know how to make a child theme. Is there a easy way to do this?

      5. I also liked the menu at the top right of your site. I could not figure out how to make it.

      6. Loved the three text boxes at the bottom of your home page. Cant figure out how to make them.
Any advise and help will be much appreciated.

    • One more question. What exactly is a image gallery and how is that different from what I have done so far?

You mentioned Sliders. Is it possible to make a slider in Weaver-II ? Or do we need to use a special plugin?
